| Some men with an existing frenulum might want to consider a notched plate. This is a notch cut into the push plate giving the frenulum room. This notch is not needed with most DTR uses even if they do have a frenulum. A frenulum that connects to the glans (as shown in this picture ) would benefit from a notched plate. On occasion I have gotten e-mails from DTR uses telling me that the push plate presses against their frenulum causing some discomfort. I tell them the solution for this would be a notch in their push plate. The picture on the right shows an uncut penis with the frenulum. While many men who get circumcised lose this ,some men still have them. Some are more pronounced than others. |

| The notch is made with a rotary tool. This is a handheld tool that spins at a very high speed. I use a cutting bit instead of a stone or other sanding bit because it leaves a better finish. This can be done by hand with a round file. It does take longer to do this with a file but it can be done. This notch will allow the frenulum to have enough room so it does not get pressed on by the push plate. | ![]() |

| The notch is not very big only about 3/16ths to a 1/4 inch wide and about 1/4 inch deep into the plate. | ![]() |

| Looking from the bottom you can see how deep it goes into the plate. I roundoff the edges so the will be no discomfort on the glans. | ![]() |

| Another view of the finished notched plate. So if you find that the DTR plate is putting too much stress on your existing frenulum a notch is the solution. | ![]() |
