When more gripping power is needed both grippers can used. The DTR works just like normal but with an added gripper that stays on the bells surface. I like to use the gripper with out holes for the one that stays on the Bell.
I am putting my DTR on like normal but with an added gripper on the bell. This greatly increases the gripping strength of a DTR. Most times this is not needed. But their are times such as with very warm weather where the skin gets too moist for the gripper to hold like it normally does. Especially when using high tension.
This method can be used with every DTR method.
Adding and removing grippers are easy. Just work the gripper off the top of the Bell. The grippers are extremely durable and I have never ripped one trying to remove it from a Bell.
